What can I expect from an initial consultation?
Starting therapy is a big decision. It is natural to have many questions about this process. The initial consultation will be an opportunity for us to get to know each other better to ensure it will be a good fit for both of us. You will have the opportunity to ask questions about me, my approach, or anything else you may have questions about. It will also be an opportunity for me to find out more about what you are looking for coming to therapy.
Do you offer in person therapy?
Yes, I offer both in person and virtual services.
Are services covered by OHIP?
No, services are not covered by OHIP, but can be claimed as a medical expense on income taxes.
Are services covered by health insurance benefits?
Yes, therapy services are often covered by most insurance companies. Please review your insurance policy to find out if your plan provides coverage for services provided by a Registered Social Worker (RSW). I will provide an invoice to you at the end of our session that can be submitted to your insurance company for reimbursement.
What is your fee?
The fee is $175 per session for individual sessions and $195 per session for couples and family sessions.
Do you offer reduced rate?
Yes, I do provide a sliding scale on a case by case basis.
What professional practice colleges are you registered with?
I am a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) and therefore, am required to adhere to the standards of the OCSWSSW. Do you provide services outside of Ontario?
No. As a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW), I am only authorized to practice in Ontario.
What is your cancellation policy?
At least 24 hours notice is required to cancel with no fee. If cancellation occurs less than 24 hours prior to the appointment the full fee for session will be applied.
